Photographer's Note

View of Lake Louise(alt1732m.), the Rocky mountains, the Trans Canada Highway, and Mirror Lake (pond at bottom) from a hilltop known as Big Beehive(alt 2270m.) 3 portrait images stitched to produce a photo I never knew I had. The trail starts at the Lake Louise tourist compound (a noisly crowded hell of kitschy souvenir shops, at least a dozen japanese tour buses, and countless elderly americans with their RVs and younger americans with their bitchin' SUVs) and gazillion vehicle parking lot, and is a popular 20km long loop trail. This viewpoint is 7km from the starting point, the trail itself is seen in the photo in the ugly clearcut above Mirror Lake. Above the trail is Little Beehive (alt 2253m.)
