Photographer's Note
Lake Louise on a stormy late summer evening. The milky color of the lake is due to the presence of rock flour (also called glacial flour).
For this shot, I used 2 stacked grad ND filters.

huge blue cast but it contributes to a great surreal atmopshere incredibly placid lake and nice reflections.

Keith,
Great shot! The colours are brilliant with the red contrasting with the blue. The water is so still. Brilliant composition and mood. Good work

Hi Keith,
You got excellent result with your clever idea and filters too. Splendid contrast between red and blue is stunning in your photo. Dark mountain ridges, snowy hills and their reflections are very nice. Congratulations.

Hello Keith,
Beautiful photo with the dramatic sky and difficult light conditions. The contrast with the red kanoes and the water is excellent. Just unreal this photo, well done.

Hi,
I like this composition and the colors of this picture. Nice DOF.
I have a question. Technically, What makes the ND filters on the photograph. I know that it is used to decrease the exposure , but on a statics picture, was are the utility?
P.S. Sorry for my english

Very nice colors and tone. I like the contrast with the canoe. It's just a bit too centered for me. I prefer with less water.

Hi Keith.
The colour of water is really astonishing! The red kayak , as the clouds and the white line in the lake give some attraction to the eye.
Beautiful!

Dear Keith ... I almost wanted to give up "Lake Louise" ... so many times seen on TE - as if no other lake would exist. But I had to open it and I must say I am glad I did. This is extra class work. I love the milky blue tones, just "disturbed" by the red canoe which of course gives the special touch to the whole. Super cool, I love it. Barbara.

Perfection 100%!
What a genial use of those filters…But it`s not only the filters that make this picture my favorite Lake Louise photo.
Thank you for delighting my eyes with such a beautiful image.
Not that it matter but I would award it 4 points:)

Cool effect Keith. I love that the bright red stands out against the solemn blue of the rest of the scene. A much moodier shot of Lake Louise than we normally see. Nice job.

Hi Keith,
That's a stunning picture. I'm happy to discover your work here on TE. It seems to me that you're not a beginner and, looking at your equipement, that you know what's excellent to achieve this type of results.
Cheers
