Photographer's Note

Ile Verte (Québec, Canada).

This 12 km long island is located in the St. Lawrence Estuary. About 40 families live permanently on the island. Besides tourism and marginal agriculture, there is not much activity here. So, if your looking for a very quiet place in the middle of the St.Lawrence, this is where to go.

The island is well known for its "agneau de pré salé", a meat that comes from the sheeps that stay on the island during summer season, grazing in the salted marsh along the island's southern shore.
