Photographer's Note

Canada has a lot of maple trees and it is spectacular in fall when they all turn red, but this is a close-up of a young maple tree in spring, bout 3 feet hight. I've nerver seen such a colour on a maple tree in spring. The red "helicopter seeds" I don't know how they are called, french or english, are usually a pale green.

I processed this shot by cropping it, contrast and sharpening and a "tiny bit" (forgot to note the number) of saturation on the red after selecting with magic wand.
