Photographer's Note

Because here, it is already Sunday ;-)

So here I am with another "papagolfade" in Saint-Valérien-de-Milton, this one taken when we still had Autumn colours. I like a lot this church, I think it is very photogenic.

I have corrected the convergence effect of the low-angle shot, but I think the original photo, without correction, has a more real and imposing look. It is subtle but there is a visible difference (as strange as it may seem ;-)

In 1854, registers of the parish were opened, when there was only a small chapel made of stone. In 1924, the construction of this church on the picture was concluded. At that time, there were 1366 inhabitants in "Saint-Val" (as local people use to call the city). Today, there are 1718 people, according to Statistics Canada.
