Photographer's Note

Here's a picture of the chapel in the Ice Hotel. The Hotel also includes two art galleries, a night club, a bar, and of course several hotel rooms. The rooms have snow sculptures carved right into the walls, blocks of ice covered with animal pelts for beds, and some rooms have fire places if you can believe that.
The main entrance to the Hotel has cathedral ceilings supported by ice columns and a giant ice chandelier hanging from the ceiling (I'll post a pic of that room tomorrow.)
The Ice Hotel’s four foot thick walls act as an excellent insulator and helps maintain a constant temperature, acting similarly to a “Thermos”. The temperatures inside the Ice Hotel remain between 28° to 23° Fahrenheit (-2° to –5° Celsius). The Ice Hotel covers an area of 3,000 m2 (30,000 ft2) composing of 400 tons of ice and 12,000 tons of snow.
