Photographer's Note

Founded in 1608 by Samuel de Champlain, Quebec is one of the oldest cities in North America.

Located along the Saint Lawrence River, it's name come from an Algonquin word - Kébec - meaning "where the river narrows".

The Château Frontenac dominates the city skyline and the ramparts surrounding Old Quebec are the only remaining fortified city walls that still exist in the Americas north of Mexico.
