Photographer's Note

In this Christmas 2008 day before, I chose to present an image of topicality to you. On this winter landscape memorized yesterday on the road between Naperville and St. Valentin in Montérégie, you see again other old abandoned buildings. In this countryside, the old wooden houses, farms and barns are common practice along the roads.

Unquestionably snow brings more to these scenes become banal to the Québécois. However, (I heard it very recently on TV), a reconsideration of these old agricultural buildings is taking place in order to develop and protect the rural inheritance from the ruin and its disappearance of the landscape of their countryside.

Merry Christmas!
