Photographer's Note

Shooting the Lachine Rapids takes skill, particularly when the water is high and faster than average. Yesterday was very windy as well. It has been a rainy summer in Eastern Canada and the St-Lawrence waters have been high. It was fun to watch this crew manoeuvre the raft to the best orientation to tackle this rough spot in the rapids. An zoom (about 580mm) helped catch this shot.
But the real test of shooting rapids is in a canoe! This is where the real skill comes in and the adrenalin flows at a higher pace!
