Une belle journée qui s'achève et qui se termineras en orage venteux. Il est assez rare de voir ce genre de tempête par ici. C'a n'arrive que rarement chaque été. Le 30D as l'air de bien se comporter en contre-jour.

Hi Lee, I love the shades of the roof in this photo. The whole scenery gives my a feeling of threat but in the same time the hat gives me a feeling of shelter and protection. Controversal image for me in an appealing way.

Lovely photo. I like the moody sky, the classical composition with your subject at "thirds", and the rolling green hills. As neochris points out, your exposure of the light glancing off the roof is spot-on.

Un bon point de vue du champs et de cette grange. les nuages donnent un effet spécial à la photo. La photo a une bonne composition et de belles couleurs.

A very difficult photo to take, but I can see that what you have aimed for is the interesting effect of the light on the roof of the building. in the sense you have succeeded well.

pas evident ces lumieres mais un choix particulierement bon que de laisser ce coté tres menaçant au ciel.

The brilliant reflection off the roof set against the approaching sky is both delightful and a tad eerie. I am wondering if it would not increase the drama to crop off the blue and just leave the clouds alone with the building. But then you would not have the variations that caught your attention. Either way, it is a lovely capture. The minimalist surroundings of the simple structure are perfect for focusing attention overhead. Nicely done, Martin.

Bonsoir Martin,

Comme effet, pour illustrer la tempête qui s'en vient c'est très réussi: on part d'un ciel dégagé, puis, plus on descend, plus les nuages se font menaçants. La grange à son tour, est le mirroir du ciel: son toît est du plus clair et plus bas les murs sont des plus sombre.

Dans l'atelier j'ai augmenté la brillance, question de voir de quoi ont l'air, ces vieux murs de la grange.

même si le 30d se comporte bien en conditions difficiles..ici tu lui demandes beaucoup..
cela dit, les nuages ressortent bien, et les lmières ettextures du toit aussi..
le reste est sous-ex.

Hi Martin

Great to see you've come back to TE!
Looking thru your gallery, you have alot of barn and forsest creek type of photos.
I paticularily like the ones with the silky smooth water flowing over the dead tree logs in the creeks.

This one....its an example of how light doesn't always have to be full on front, as the light on the top of the barn is enough to make its impact felt.
Very well done and executed.
