Amythiville: How it all started...

On a leisure trip aboard his beloved Voyager car, FORJP001 was driving West at 100km/h on road #214 from Scotstown toward Sherbrooke. Few minutes ago he missed the famous railway station at Scotstown which wad grounded down by a vicious fire a few while ago. One may recall that after reaching Scotstown FORJP001 was very angry because of dirt wet road full of thaw and what we call in French a lot of «Panses-de-Boeufs». These are nasty things where wet dirt covers piece and bits of thin ice under which there are moving sands and where the tires get stuck in that bullshit.

So when driving past this old disbanded house, FORJP001 didn’t realised at first how lovely a shot of this one will make a lot of talking and writing on TE.
1 kilometre went thru, FORJP001 was analysing if he should stop his machine, reverse power and go shooting this lonely house. Two kilometres went thru, FORJP001 was still analysing the situation. By the way FORJP001 is very good in analysing any kind of complex situation but when comes the time of great decisions...well very hard to take action. One more kilometre went thru. Now it is now or never. FORJP001 did a lovely POR (Power Off Reset). Amythiville me voici /Here I come Amythiville.

The true name of this place is Canterbury but one joker put the road sign AMYTHIVILLE nearby.

For a front view of this unique house located in rural Quebec, well see AMYTHIVILLE.

Then the journey resume and the next stop will be at another heritage railway station nearby. Guess which one?
