Photographer's Note
This photo was taken at the Metro Toronto Zoo.
Three Sumatran tiger cubs, the first ones born in Canada, debuted to the public with their 4 year old Mom Brytne. The cubs, two of which are female and one male, explored their new quarters in the Sumatran Tiger Exhibit. Not only are the births a first for Canada and for the Toronto Zoo, they are vitally important to the North American and world population of Sumatran tigers. Despite protection, they are still hunted in their native Sumatra. In the wild, as few as 400 could remain and experts think the species could be extinct in ten years.
It was an unbelieveable sight watching the cubs playing together. Running, pouncing, jumping. Just like normal little children. It was truely an amazing experience.

Très bonne image. J'aime le mouvement de la patte et de la queue qui donne de la vie à l’image.
Very Very Very nice shot

Very crisp capture. The color here is beautiful and the contrast perfect. It's a very animated capture of these two playing cubs. It seems almost like a natural environment here rather than a zoo. Very nice and natural capture of these playful siblings.

the best compliment that i can give this photograph is that it reminds me of michael nicholes' tiger photograph if you havent heard of him, check out www.michaelnicknicholes.com . he's the world's best wildlife photographers and has done extensive work on the tigers in india, especially in ranthambore national park. one of his favourite subjects is this wild tigress called sita. she's perhaps the world's most famous tiger by now, as she features in almost every documentary on tigers. this is because shes one of the most successful mother tigers .
i'm trying to upload a photograph os this indo-chinese tiger that i was with, but it's not getting uploaded:(
take care
