I took this photo at a protest for democracy. The picture that the man is holding up is of the Shwedagon Pagoda in Myanmar or Burma. This was apparently the world's second largest protest on the worldwide day of protests for Burmese democracy, with many Burmese and non-Burmese chanting "Free, free! Burma, Burma!" It was an extremely emotional night.

Arevthese protesters being led peacefully by the police as they should be, or are they at a standoff with the police as has been happening in Myanmar/Burma recently? Though I know the answer, I'll leave it up to your own mind to wonder and answer.
