Photographer's Note

Today we are going to visit the Chinese Lantern Festival in Toronto the largest lantern festival outside Asia and one of the most impressive presentations of its kind in North America.

This 65-night celebration of Chinese craftsmanship and culture at the Ontario Place water front starts from July 20 until October 1, 2006. This festival offers people from all backgrounds a unique opportunity to discover and enjoy Chinese history and folklore. 80 master craftsmen were sent to Toronto to build 30 unique sets, they spent their lifetimes learning the ancient art of making these lanterns.

You can see on this picture the Majestic Arches-Tang Dynasty (618-907). This gigantic lantern is built according to traditional Chinese architectural style and lit by 10.000 light bulbs.

I was trying to use the Warped Speed effect for the first time. This image was inspired by and dedicated to TE member and my good friend Sarju.

No PP except frame.

You can see an original image of the Majestic Arches in the workshop. No post production except frame as well.
