Photographer's Note

To me, Toronto looks better from a distance, like from the islands, the top of the CN Tower, etc.

This photo was taken in Tommy Thompson Park, a man-made peninsula that extends five kilometres into Lake Ontario. It is a protected wildlife area, home to a large variety of birds, mammals, reptiles and amphibians, easy to view. Actually, while taking this photo, a couple of curious beavers swam in circles less than 10 feet away. I also had to take the same shot several times. The exposure time being 3.6 seconds, I noticed that ducks were rippling away the reflection of the skyline in the water.

In Photoshop, I adjusted the levels, used the black point in Curves to slightly darken the shadows. I used Neat Image to remove some noise (at ISO 200, there was not very much of it, really). Then I sharpened a bit, resized and saved the image for posting.
