Photographer's Note

Toronto's skyline changes constantly these days. By most estimates, more towers are being constructed here than in any other city in the Western World.
Skyscraper construction has enjoyed three big booms in Toronto's history: in the 1920s aand 30s; in the 1960s and 70s; and over the last twenty years.
The diversity in these towers illustrates so much about the history of modern architecture. This multi-ethnic, vibrant city is all around us on the streets and in the neighbourhoods, but it's also sprouting upwards over our heads every day - fast!
