Photographer's Note

This library building was designed by a local architect with help of a grant from philanthropist Andrew Carnegie (1835-1919). Carnegie, a Scottish born American millionaire, donated $56 million during his life time to build 2,509 free public libraries throughout the world, 111 in Ontario. The entrance to the building was changed to the side after a recent addition to the building
