Photographer's Note

Too often I look through the gallery and I see many landscapes and buildings but they are often missing a reason that it is beautiful to you, and what it shows about That part of the world.

This shot was taken while volunteering to paint an historic Church in Northern Ontario. We took a group of 20 high school students, and spent a week painting and restoring the oldest Anglican church in Canada. The job was simple and the students worked hard. The small town was excited to see the tourist attraction getting a face lift.

This shot was taken as we were finishing work on evening. It was the kind of day where I was too focused on the work to see beauty around me. I looked up and there it was... I took a bunch of pictures but they did not do it justice, something was missing. I used the off centered cross to add just a little foreground focus. Other than a little cropping I have not done any work to this.

Some may see a nice picture, but I remember a delight of seeing it.
