hello Daniel,
"Sinbadesque" is the perfect adjective :) the intense golden colour of the light is what makes this photo special, the reflections seem as if made of liquid fire. I also like how you have composed the photo with the line of boats leading the eye towards the illuminated city and then the pier pointing towards the lone light on the right. excellent photo, my compliments.

an arabic nocturnal impression during a certainly quite inspiring walk along the beach. Lovely golden colors coming from the lights and reflections. Curios to see how you got a star effect around the light with a f/4.

Excelente contraste de colores en esta foto. ¿Usaste un trípode para tomar la foto? Yo diría que sí, o al menos una especie de soporte para la cámara al menos. No pensé que a las 16:49 a esa latitud (más al sur que por aquí) ya se vea el cielo oscurecido el 24 de diciembre. Lo que no veo es la intensa actividad pesquera.
Con respecto a la crítica que escribiste, la verdad lo mío nunca ha sido tomar fotos de personas. La mayoría de lo que tomo son paisajes (de preferencia con poca luz, como este tuyo, ya que eso es lo que me parece personalmente más interesante y requiere más experimentación. V.g. "Siegestor", a la que le tomé como 20 esa noche), pero últimamente no he tenido oportunidad de tomar alguna buena foto de paisajes y he buscado lo mejor que encuentro para poner en TE. El doctorado quita bastante tiempo para ir en busca de situaciones diferentes fotográficamente hablando. Realmente es absorbente. Quizás un viaje por el sur de Francia me haría bien, o una visita tuya por acá para ir en busca de nuevos ángulos. Sólo el día de carnaval pude encontrar algunas situaciones interesantes, con la gente disfrazada en la calle por el centro, pero esas ya las puse en TE.
En estos días te escribo. Ya recibí tu email. Si puedo lo hago este mismo fin de semana.

Hi Daniel,
You chose an excellent time of day for this photo, still some light in the sky, but also already beautiful warm illuminations on the houses in the town. Those lights are also very nicely reflected in the water. The many boats add interest to the foreground. Thanks for sharing!

Excelente foto nocturna de la ciudad de Mukhala captada en la hora azul, las luces con sus reflejos en el agua y la nitides de tu foto producen una gran composicion. Felicitaciones.
