Photographer's Note

Camels have always been a major part of life in the Arab world, providing transportation across harsh landscapes. Although some people may feel that commercialism in our changing times, has taken away their dignity, they are still cared and pampered by their owners.
Within the UAE, camels are still regarded in high esteem, and well bred animals can sell for in excess of one hundred thousand Dirhams, for breeding or racing purposes. Whilst taking this photo I felt that this camel looked down on me as a mere mortal, and gave me very little attention whilst I was in his presence.
