400kV Overhead Lines crossing the road in UAE, Abu Dhabi Emirate. 400kV is the highest voltage level used to transmit electric power over the longer distances in UAE. Some lines go to lengths of 150km. They are used mostly outside of the city areas. In cities they are replaced with cables to minimise visual impact to the surrounding area.
