Sharjah Mosque is a big mosque under construction next to the Sharjah - Kalba road. Location seems to be in the middle of nowhere. But considering how fast everything changes in UAE, who knows what kind of city will grow around it.

Hello Kari,

There must be some big plans underway, otherwise, I can see no reason for building this huge and very smart mosque in the middle of the desert.
It really is a very fine building, shown with excellent clarity by you.
In this stage of construction, the cranes add character to the minarets, something that will not be possible to photograph in a few weeks time!

Hello Kari, this is an unusual scene, seeing the construction of the Mosque and in such a space! The shapes and details are so clear.
As you suggest, there will, more than likely, be a city built around it.

That looks like a pretty impressive new mosque with a very large dome and tall minarets, even taller than the cranes. Quite an interesting sight in the middle of the desert. Well captured.

awesome! this is so cool. Its not everyday we see a mosque under construction...remodelling perhaps, but not actually being built. Lucky to have the sky pretty clear, it could have been much more murky and hazy with the heat. looks great. cheers

Good observed and captured. A majestic mosque midst of the desert. Hopefully they'll have enough visitors !
This is a typical scene and problem in all the Arabic World. Great places, gigantic projects but not enough customers or visitors.
