Photographer's Note

This is one of my first photos I`ve ever made with my first analog camera.
My first photograph camera I bought during my summer holidays that I spent in Halfeti. It was a very cheap one, it costed 40 New Lira but it worked well.
It was my first holiday since our emigration to Switzerland, and I was very curious about my "strange homeland" that I hadn`t seen for 11 years then....

My guides were the 3 boys on the photo; my cousins.
On that morning they came running to the house we stayed in - and told that I had to come with them; they wanted to show me something special.

So I followed them ( with my cam) and they brought me to the place you see on the photo.
I was so exalted by the idyllic, romantic scene that I just took several photos of it. After all, I was an amateur photographer! :)
The women made "NanÍ SÍle" ("flatbread" in Kurdish).

I always remember that day when I watch this photo.
It brings back good memories.
The day we travelled back to Switzerland I donated my first camera to the bigger one of the 3 boys...

I hope you lke it (althought its quality isn`t very well...)
