Photographer's Note
I never uploaded this before because a teenage boy had rushed into the frame from the left just as I was taking this. I think I did a reasonable job of cloning him out. Taken at Butterfly Bay just a few kilometres east of Oludeniz. At 9 am there are a dozen or more tourist boats on Oludeniz beach waiting to take passengers around to the various bays, coves, inlets and islands. This one was great for swimming, being protected on 3 sides. Kabak Beach just a few more km east had open water and very rough surf. I didn't see a single butterfly either. I hiked inland to an unimpressive waterfall and as it was very hot, I was glad to go swimming again when I got back to the beach.

Hello Chris,
The note of course made me curious to have a close look at an enlarged version. I see traces of repeated patterns caused by the cloning, but I would never have noticed them unless you had told us.
I am sure jumping into this water was nicer than going on a hot trek to an unimpressive place. The colours of the water are really inviting.
Best regards,
Gert

Hello Chris,
You took this picture out of a low position, about the beach with people at swimming.
Good if contrast picture with a soft subject.
Composition and presentation are superb.
Very well done, TFS.
Best regards,
John

Bonjour Chris,
Tu as bien capturé les personnes qui profitent de la mer. La prise de vue permet de voir les détails de la mer et de la falaise. La qualité de la lumière embellit les couleurs de l'image. Bonne journée.

Hello Chris,
You have a achieved a good piece of cloning; I cannot see where the disturbing child was once situated!
Again, the sea looks amazing, crystal clear.
I would love it here, without large waves to bounce swimmers about!
You used the rocks as a good, focal feature and a diagonal link to the ship in the bay.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Hello Chris
Had you pegged on this one. Your style is very pronounced here when it comes to imagery. I have the names turned off. It is always nice to try and figure out the photographer when looking at the thumbnails. Love the almost tropical feel to this one. Beautiful.

Hi Chris
A good cloning job.
By Australian standards it is hard to call this a beach but the scene is beautiful with that water colour and yachts. A good one.
cheers

Hello Chris, Splendid place for swimming. No water. Great colours.
Now, when we have a thick layer of the fresh snow, strange to think that just more than a month ago I also enjoyed the warm Best regards MAlgo

Hi Chris,
at least with the digital photography one can easily check the photo and take again. I am checking now my old pre-digital photos and I am so often annoyed by someone walking into frame...
This is a spectacular sight. The rocks make a nice foreground decoration, the color of the water is so inviting. This is supposedly one of the best places in Turkey for sun holidays. I was near Antalya which is a bit further. I must revisit someday maybe in different region.
Beautiful spot, excellent quality work,
M

Hello Chris.
Certainly this beach, although it is made of pebbles, invites you to swim with its waters of such magical colors, blue that from the transparent water in the foreground varies the tone as the depth increases until it reaches a wonderful intense blue.
Excellent sharpness and splendid light.
Very well done. I like it.
Have a nice day.
Very best regards.
Luis.

Hi Chris
An idyllic location for swimming, lighting looks very hash but well managed exposure where contrast to deep turquoise water is just perfect. Not sure weather that lump enhances or distracts, anyway its's part of the show.
Best regards

Hello Chris,
Seeing this lovely warm inviting beach, you are making me wanted to rush into the water or frame ( hoping you'll not cloning me into a butterfly )
This is what I call an adventurous vacation - hiking , swimming and going on boat tours sailing around the island...absorbing the sea breeze , just letting the hair down and having great fun!
Ha!ha! no butterfly......but at least you can do butterfly stroke :-)
Thanks for sharing this stunning bay.
Loong
