Photographer's Note

Kars is on an east west axis so the 'real' sunset is really over on the right off frame. But I liked the view and subtle colours in the clouds. In the fg you can see an old Armenian or Georgian church with a mossy roof, built in the 10th century. At bottom left of centre, the church was converted to a mosque (Kumbet Camii), but was built between 932 & 937. Also known as the Cathedral of the 12 apostles. Behind it is a newer mosque. The verticals are perfect in the fg, but the horizon only appears to tilt to the right. Double checked that before I uploaded. Taken from a cafe beside the Kars Citadel.
