Photographer's Note

Kusadasi (word meaning "bird island" in French) is a port city in Turkey on the Aegean Sea, 85 km south of Izmir, in the province of Aydin, where the ships stop at stop of the World whole.

In Ottoman times, the city is also known as the Scalanova by Italian merchants who are trading.

This is an important summer resort near the sites of Ephesus, House of the Virgin Mary, Pamukkale, Miletus, Didyma and Priene.
