Photographer's Note

Gardens of Urfa

This shot I made just some days ago because I am in Urfa (my homeland province) now, travelling around and taking some beautiful shots for Trekearth :)
We went to this garden near the Kurdish village Helbini (Kurdish for 'New Born') and picked up a lot of water melons - which we put onto this tractor. The beautiful red ground you see is called TERRA ROSSA; it has its red colour from the oxidaton of 'Ferrum' (remember my nick Ferrus :) )

This photo is a gift to my venerated TE friend Bulent (bpelvan) who made an Urfa travel last year. I hope he saw the wonderful gardens of Urfa and picked up some water melons :)
By the way:
This is my 100th photo
