Photographer's Note

It took me long to make my mind to post this picture In the end I converted it to sepia and added a black frame. One more thing: I increased contrast to make it look more dramatic. Tell me if I should have erased the cable: seems disturbing, in the other hand covers an empty area and plays quite well with the other lines forming the curved perspective.

Bağeşme (bah-cheshme) is a part of Izmit where there are lots of beautiful ruins they are supposed to be under state protection

They say Bagcesme is a dangerous place to walk around. that might be true though I have never had an 'adfventure' when taking pictures or just going on foot to Turgu Konutlari, where I used to live. Moreover I have friends there. The guys who looked more like hooligans turned out to be hospitable

See also my other Kapanca Street/Albanian Pavement picture which was taken a few meters up the street;

korkut bostanci (bostankorkulugu) says that the wall in his 'all alone' belongs to the house in the left-hand of this picture. It really does! Another Korkut's POV of the same house in going down the pathway

I'd like to thank rigoletto who
taught me this sepia-trick

Read about Bagcesme in Kocaeli gazetesi (in Turkish);

By the way, how should I mark sepias: colour or black-n-white?

A Restored Sunset behind a Branch an HPP of mine on TL also taken in Bağeşme.

Have a look at a similar view in tambov, Russia:
