Photographer's Note

Today's uploads will be from places where it was forbidden to take photos. In typical Topkapı Palace Museum fashion, the rule was enforced only some of the time.

I do not know what fascination Ottoman sultans had with clocks - both Dolmabahçe and Topkapı Palace had sections displaying clocks. This one is labeled "Skeleton Wall Clock," perhaps the mechanism is visible through the sides. It was Ottoman made in 1839, by a Hüseyin Hakî bin (son of) Ahmet Eflakî.
