Photographer's Note
Another shot from my favourite street in Istanbul (to date) running uphill behind the grand bazaar - I just loved the life and inter-activity of this place - the struggles and the laughter, the sense of community and co-operation - I could spend many days there getting to know people and being endlessly fascinated ........feeling a bit cold and old myself today......coated and hatted just like this guy......and just bouncing back after one of the most difficult weeks I can remember for quite a while!

Salut Kev!
Emilius

Hi Kev, its no warmer down south mate! And I too have had to wrap up well. But this is a lovely, heartwarming shot. Just the hint of a smile behind his cupped hand - and a whiff of smoke from the smoldering cigarette. I hope next week is a bit less stressful for you.
All the best, Roberto

Hello Kev,
Nice shot, Great B&W picture...
I do not support the 4th World .... We have Europe have money to leave these people in the street and nobody does it!

Have you realized Kev, that sharpness is an extraordinary, valuable factor in perception of your photos.
That very special sharpness...The highest class sharpness there is...
It is this kind of sharpness that let us discover once more the texture of the human skin, the roughness of the old hands, the eyebrows, the wrinkles.
Those, and YOUR very special way of transforming YOUR color into YOUR black % way...
Extremely human
Love it
