Photographer's Note
The only rainy day during this trip was the Friday after I got to Istanbul. While we were watching the rain, I noticed this parrot eating cherries. Obviously, parrots are not indigenous to Istanbul but they have colonized Emirgan Park and seem to be quite happy with their adopted home. According to Wikipedia, they are rose-ringed parakeets, of which there are several populations in Istanbul, both on the European side where they can be seen in Gülhane Park, Yıldız Park and Eyüp, and on the Asian side.
Tuhaf bir Kiraz Yaprağı
Bu gezi sırasında tek yağmurlu gün İstanbul'a geldikten sonraki Cuma idi.

That's a beautiful close range capture, Murat.
The parrot is very camouflaged within the green and red.
Lovely photo,
Ike

Hello Murat,
A nice portrait of this parrot. Although his feathers have a slightly lighter shade of green, he seems to be one with his surroundings, his red beak could easily have been a berry. Very well seen and captured.

Bonjour, cher Murat,
Un arbre pour lui tout seul, de quoi avoir une indigestion de cerises !
Très bonne prise de vue emplie d'humour.
Amitiés.

Hello Murat,
This is a very nice photo. Although Istanbul is not a natural home to a parrot it seems at home in this park anyway, at least as far as colours are concerned. The feathers are a good camouflage so you did well to spot this little beauty,
Kind regards,
Gert

Hello Murat,
The green parrot is clearly visible and sharp. Nice repetition of the red cherries. I never knew that the flowering cherry blossom is inedible before I went to Korea and Japan. The fruit is only the size of a pea and most of that is the cherry stone or pit. This type though is edible. Tfs!

Hello Murat.
A lovely picture, with that kind of small parrot, surrounded by rich and abundant fruit, the cherry, the red color of the fruit contrast with the big green of the tree.
Well done. I like very much.
You have a good day.
Greetings.
Luis.
