A Tepeköy is celebrated every August 15 Assumption that makes this place the appointment of all Greek surroundings. For Christians, the day of death should be a holiday for the person who dies accesses real life next to God.

On the morning of August 15, at the end of the celebration, the meat is blessed by the archbishop before being offered for sharing all those present. Everyone then went in procession to the cemetery and each owner of a grave waiting in front of it. Sweets put on a large plate are distributed one by one. Hello Valérie,

A very good explanation of the traditional Date of Assumption to complement this photo. I wish you a good trip back to France on 28 August, presumably from Istanbul. I see from the itinerary of my cruise that on the 28 we will be leaving the Greek Islands of Navplionon, and on 29 August cruising the Bosporus. So we will be ships passing in the night, so to speak.
