Tepeköy, "the village of the hill" at Gökçeada

A Tepeköy is celebrated every August 15 Assumption that makes this place the appointment of all Greek surroundings. For Christians, the day of death should be a holiday for the person who dies accesses real life next to God.

On the morning of August 15, at the end of the celebration, the meat is blessed by the archbishop before being offered for sharing all those present. Everyone then went in procession to the cemetery and each owner of a grave waiting in front of it. Sweets put on a large plate are distributed one by one.
