Photographer's Note

New houses in the middle of nowhere.... in Çatak district, Van province. A landslide occured in a village nearby some twenty years ago. It was decided that the village should move to a saver place. The new houses were just ready, when we were there.

Hello Jelle,
Nice and neat.
Composition is well worked.
Any photos from the western part of Turkey where there is still traditional places just a few hundred meters away form city centers.

Hello Jelle,
A rather weird photo but a very good composition. When I first travelled through eastern Turkey 37 years ago I felt totally lost. Never had I experienced any place so "far away from home". This picture catches perfectly the vast emptiness of that part of the world.
