Another view of Suphan Dagi volcano, this time from Adilcevaz. Most of the town is further to the left. The snow capped peak is the 2nd highest volcano in Turkey after Ararat.

Hello Chris,
A very nice view from the Turkish Wild East, just as I remember it. The snow clad peaks are well placed in the corner and the clouds are nicely reflected in the river. The meadows and trees look refreshingly green, not yet burned by the summer's sun.

A lot of people imagine the whole Middle East as an arid desesert whereas in fact there are a lot of green spaces and mountains as well which your photo shows so well.
I love the sky reflected in the river.

This is a much more mellow scene than your previous one.

You have chosen a fine viewpoint, using the narrow river very effectively, not only as a guide but also, to balance the scene by reflecting the snow-capped volcano.

It is a really beautiful landscape with the calm water and green fields in front of the gentle slopes, some rocks and the snowy peaks further away. The composition is very well-balanced and you had a lovely, clear sunlight.

Hi Chris,
there is some contradiction in the idea of snow covered volcano. It should be natural and yet volcanoes do to the fact they erupt bringing with this fact a lot of heat, somehow seem to go naturally with the hot climate.
Nice composition here, very well used water aspect which contributes the reflection in the foreground.
Fantastic well saturated natural colors.

A beautiful landscape ranging from green valleys over bare mountain slopes to peaks with eternal snow.
The little river makes a nice foreground with its reflected view of the snowy peaks and the white clouds.
