Photographer's Note

The Northern part of Turkey’s Ardahan Province, where the town of Posof is situated, is bordered with Georgia’s Republic of Adjara, which is considered as the most humid region of the Former Soviet Union.

This picture was taken from the 16-th km of the D955 Road ‘Türkgözü (near Georgian border) – ArdahanGöle’. There, ascent to the Ilgar mountain pass begins. When in couple of hours I was on the pass (2550 m above sea level, 37-th km of the road) the rain had caught me up. That was the wettest but the most picturesque and high-level night-stop place in my bike travel in Turkey.
