The open air museum is about 2km from the town of Goreme itself and you can comfortably walk it.

Contained within the museum area are numerous churches in caves. The Byzantine churches, dating from 900 to 1200 AD, are decorated with paintings and frescoes.

This picture is amazing. I really cannot understand why you did not get any points for it. I think this is one of the most astonishing places in the world. Great photo.
