Photographer's Note

A mini Cappadocia landscape with its distinctive fairy chimneys, or hoodoos, as they are known in North America. Only this is the Phrygian Valley near the small town of Yazilikaya further west of Goreme. It's about 1/2 way between Eskisehir and Afyon.

There are 2 Yazilikaya towns in Turkey! The other is the Hattusa / Hittite ruins east of Ankara near Bogazkale.
