Photographer's Note
A closer view of the 40 eyes / Kirkgöz rock outcrop, this time focused on a single rock arch. The backlighting here was very tricky and some pp work has saved the shot. Not so many shots of this location on Trek Earth so another won't hurt. It is literally honeycombed with carved out rooms and niches from ancient Greek and Byzantine times. Midas City monument from Phyrgian Times (6th / 7th century BC) is adjacent. A shot I found showing both:

Hi Chris,in fact this is a different and original solution to show a part of these famous rocks,it seem to watch the background in the middle of 2 legs..ehhe...very excellent work in PP to adjust the very difficult backlight! Have a nice evening and thanks,Luciano

Hello Chris,
Now that you mention it, it can be seen that some PP was done here. But you did it very well. We see the texture of the rock forming the arch, the clouds are quite well exposed and there are no disturbing halos from overdone PP. The arch is magnificent and the scenery looks very idyllic.
Best regards,
Gert

Nice use of the rock-arch with the valley view beyond, Chris.
Superbly in contrast and DOF managed.
Good evening,

Bonjour Chris,
L'étendue de l'arrière plan crée de la profondeur. La prise de vue permet de voir les détails de l'arche. Une bonne gestion du contre-jour qui ne nuit pas au rendu des couleurs. Bonne Journée.

Hello Chris, a clever shot where you have made good use of the stone arch as a frame for the landscape.
Everything in sharp focus.
You managed the difficult light really well.
Kind regards, Jean.

Hello Chris,
A great photo of this natural arch, captured from a good position. Its smooth shapes are really nice and I also like the contrast of the dark foreground and the brightly sunlit scenery in the distance.

Hi Chris,
This arch is not very big, but the shape makes it quite picturesque. And countryside background looks lovely too. Yes the bright areas are on the edge of overexposure, but this is still quite fine.

Hi Chris
Good processing to balance out the light and dark with a fine result of this spectacular arch with plenty of evidence of people walking through it.

Hello Chris,
This is a super, natural arch to create a very unusual natural border to the sunlit scene beyond. You have captured some good textural details, too.
I think I would have cropped the scenery to the left so that the only way to observe the distance would have been through the archway. Am I a control freak!
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

chris
a nice view of this natural arch. I guess it should be protected because the people walking around can erode the base of this fragile structure.
take care
