Photographer's Note
Beautiful old house on the corner of a street in Amasya...
Amasya is a small city in northern Anatolia. It is placed between mountains, and is divided by a river (Yeşilırmak). The tombs of Pontus kings, which were carved into the mountains, overlook the river and the city. There are many old buildings left from the Ottoman Empire. Many mosques, one asylum, which is now used as a music school, etc. There is a small nice museum. According to the tale of Ferhat and Şirin, the mountains which Ferhat drilled to get water to the city, for the love of Şirin, are in Amasya.
