Photographer's Note

A few km north east of Safranbolu is the Crystal Glass Terrace (Kristal Teras) overlooking the Tokatli / İncekaya Canyons and waterfall. It was included as part of a local bus tour I did visiting Bulak cave, old Turkish Villages and this place. A bit kitschy perhaps, and not for those who suffer from vertigo. It was built in 2012. If a large group of people had started to jump up and down on it (as I saw in other bridges in Turkey), I would have promptly left the structure. Not my idea of fun. Good to see this.

"the company had imposed a limitation on the number of tourists allowed to access the 100-square-meter terrace at any one time, especially on crowded days, as the platform can only carry up to 75 tons of weight."

Less, if clowns are jumping in unison. But the view is terrific.
