Photographer's Note

Hıdırlık Tepesi, which I think translates to Black Hill? in English, is the name of this public lookout which offers fine views over the 200-250 year old Ottoman houses of Safranbolu. It reminded me of Berat in Albania which I visited in 2015.

The fg building is the İzzet Mehmet Pasha Mosque constructed in the late 18th century. More information on this fascinating town here:
