Une oasis du désert.
Palmyre, dont le nom est associé à la légendaire reine Zénobie, est une cité qui est née et s'est enrichie grâce aux routes commerciales des caravanes qui quittaient la côte méditerranéenne et la ville d'Alep, s'enfonçant, à travers le désert de Syrie, vers l'orient: la péninsule arabique, la Mésopotamie, la Perse, l'Asie Centrale et l'Inde. Palmyre était alors une ville cosmopolite, prospère et puissante. Mais, comme Baalbeck et Petra, elle allait sombrer peu à peu dans l'oubli avant de renaître, au début du XXe siècle, sous les soins de archéologues.

Hello Thiery, so soft shot, I admire espeially the mist in the background, the light and exposure are great, also ruins seems well, well done!

Lovely shot with splendid colours. I like the touch of red and the man looking back at the monuments and the emptiness beyond. (Sorry for writing in English, my French is slow so late.)

Well composed with the road leading deep into the image along the beautiful ruins. The camel rider is the bonus. Nice tone as well.
