Photographer's Note

These two girls from Jeddah sent their warm regards to Trekkers :).

Most of my friends think I was brave or crazy going to the most strict Muslim countries, and especially going alone to Saudi Arabia. But no bravery was needed. Everywhere the people were friendly and hospitable. Even when I went around alone in the late evening, I felt safe. Often the Arabian women hugged me, shared some food with me. In the bus, when the woman saw that I was cold, she covered me with her jacket. Sometimes I felt like a star because they wanted to take a picture of me or with me. In Iran and in Dubai I was invited to the home. In this way, I could see how Muslim women live. It was a great experience. No need to worry if you respect their tradition and you are smiling and friendly.
