Photographer's Note

The Arabian desert freatures everything, from red dunes to quicksands. The red dunes in the center of Arabia, stretching from north to south of the peninsula and also around the capital Riyadh, is well known and called Rub'al-Khali, the biggest continous sand body in the world. The exstreme environment alows only some creatures and plants to survive there.

I took a shot of it when I was on a trip to Riyadh. I know that I am not really impressing with sharpness on that particular photograph, nevertheless it gives an idea of the harsh and unforgiving property of such a desert!

Also I like on the photograph, that the color is fading out towards the horizon sort of in layers...
