The Dome of Rock or Masjid Qubbah As-Sakhrah, located in the center of Masjidil Aqsha areal along with other 4 masjids (Masjid Jami' Al-Qibli, Masjid Al-Aqsha AlQadim, Masjid Al-Marwani and Masjid Buroq)...

It was initially completed in 691 CE at the order of Umayyad Caliph Abd al-Malik during the Second Fitna, built on the site of the Roman temple of Jupiter Capitolinus, which had in turn been built on the site of the Second Jewish Temple, destroyed during the Roman Siege of Jerusalem in 70 CE. The original dome collapsed in 1015 and was rebuilt in 1022–23. The Dome of the Rock is in its core one of the oldest extant works of Islamic architecture (source: Wikipedia.org)

Hi Ary,i don't like the title inside the pic,but the high part is truly beautiful! Great capture from the symbol of Jerusalem,the golden dome over magnificent facades full of mosaic decorations that reminds a lot what i seen in my uzbek trip recently,top quality of sharpenss and colors! Hello Ary

I agree with the words in the image kind of hurt the overall presentation. I used to be the same way. I now concentrate on the subject matter in my POVs, lighting, and DOF. I do see the need for it in adverts, and art. Still the dome of rock in Jerusalem is a landmark held dear by many. I hope to someday travel to Israel to see it. TFS

Hi there,

Lovely image with nice sky in the background, however I would adjust it a bit trying to make the building upright.

I definitely recommend NOT TO use fonts of this size for titles, signatures etc. I know this could be my personal taste only, but the title must not dominate over the main subject of the photograph which is the case here. As you can see I am not the only one having the same opinion.

Anyway, thanks for sharing as the subject is really interesting and well presented.
