Photographer's Note

Sunsets are probably my least favourite subject because everybody does them and they have become a photographic cliche in my estimation. Having said that, the sun has been a symbol of life in cultures throughout the world since time immemorial, and people are unavoidably affected by the setting of the sun.

I was invited to go sailing this weekend and this image is a salute to my hosts.

Hello, how are you? Your sunset is wonderful. I like sun and I'm happy because snow has definitively gone, here in Switzerland... We had 43C in the sun this afternoon!!! Have a nice day. Claudia
