Photographer's Note

Another shot from Shawbak castle, where we are working (Universiy of Florence) from some years.

The site was an anciet fortification (Roman and Bizantine period) but the Crusader castle was build by Baldouin in 1115. In 1189 Salah ad-Din, after a long siege, gain the fortress.

This is a view of the St. Mary's Church, an imponent and beautiful building sites in the upper part of the castle.

P.S.
Add some contrast.
