Photographer's Note

Here is another picture from the Mediterranean beach at Netanya, at the central coast line of Israel. Although this beach is right next to a mid-size city, it’s surprisingly empty and feels like a deserted island.
This kayak like boat is used by lifeguards in Israel. It a 3 meters long kayak made of epoxy foam, and powered by a long paddle hold by the lifeguard standing on the kayak.
Around the world they are starting to use motorized boats, but this simple design got some real advantages: Its cheap, no one will try to steal such a big kayak, no need for fuel, and it survives all kind of weather.

The subject is in the centre (not the best composition I know!), but I think the overhaul image is balanced by the clouds and wet sand.
What do you think?
