Fiat Cinque-Cento, a photo from Tel Aviv, Tel Aviv

Photographer's Note

A red painted Fiat Cinque-Cento from the 1960th, looks superbly preserved and in driving condition.
It stood alongside Herzl street, where spotted on my way to work & taken both pictures with my cell-phone.
The advertisement depicted telling about a real-estate company celebrating its 25th anniversary.

Cloned out the number on its registration plate, left intact the inscription depicted which says it is a "collection's vehicle", meaning it has a special license in Israel.

A lovely detailed picture.

Ike, that Italian red car dating from the 60's looks in perfect condition. It has a sunroof. I m learning through that photo collector's cars are distinguished from the others with a specific registration plate. Fine colors, good image quality, instructive photo note, regards.

Today we still see a lot of fiat500 in the Dutch street scene, but then it is about the new model and not from this more than 50 year old model. We only see that only a few times.

My first motorbike was a pale blue&metallic Vespa and my first car a red Cinque-Cento, exactly like this one.
You've observed and captured it with good pov and sharpness. I was asking myself the reason of thie eraded number plate than I noticed it in your notes.
Another perfect capture/entry in your gallery and another great question : "What shall I do now with all my expensive Rolleiflex's, Leica's and Asahi Pentax'es if you can get even better results with a cellphone !

So we celebrate the Italian automobile industry on the same day ! You with FIAT and me with Piaggio vespas :-)
A cute little car which is so symbolic ! Incredibly well-preserved !
In France, these collection pieces are often tucked away in garages and only taken out on special days !
This little red car looks very effective in its urban environment.

Hi Ike,
I am not a big fan of cars but I can appreciate how charming this one is.
The red colors adds to it, making it quite eye catching.
For me the nice decorative element are the inscription in your alphabet which is so exotic, and does not tell me anything at all. Fortunately you explained it in your note :)

I nearly forgot to comment on this bright photo. It's almost hard to imagine now that these little cars were so common in our streets a few decades ago. This one looks so well taken care of that maybe it hasn't actually spent much time in the streets. Some may not like the yellow advertisements, but yellow and red come very well together.

You often have fun photos of planes and cars. They give us something else to see other than landscapes and old cities, which I like, but variety helps. TE is like a book, every hour a new posting or two, such a nice mix. You do very well with all your photos and add quality to the TE book.

This car is new to me and yet vintage. Pristine in paint and form. Not sure it is comfortable to drive. Nice use of it for advertising as the car attracts attention. Nice Ike
