Photographer's Note

The Sicsac squawk is very sharp and strong, yet a pleasant call. Most times they come in pers and over fields and rivers or other water reservoirs in the Middle-East area.

Its scientific name is Vanellus spinosus, and not so easy to distinct any colors differences from male to female bird. Young chicks have brighter feathers.
With its long legs an adult bird is about 30cm high, and it is not a heavy flyer.
